Mooch
It doesn't
take much in this world to make Mooch happy. The love of a good
woman. A glass of fine wine. The company of great family and friends.
And Flamethrowers. Glorious, gleaming Flamethrowers.
Mike Mucci has been drawing ever since his claw-like digits have
been able to clutch a pencil. Ask his folks. It was a unicorn on
a road. A UNICORN. On a ROAD. The sky was the limit from that point
on!
Mike studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and majored
in Illustration and Cartooning. Taught by some of the most talented
names working in the field today, such as James McMullen, Marvin
Mattleson and comic-book legend Walt Simonson.
Upon graduating from SVA his first professionally paying gig was
at MTV on their hit show “Daria”. 3 seasons at MTV provided
him the chance to jump aboard the short lived but beautifully designed
“Spy Groove”. Then it was off to Nickelodeon to put
his skills to work on “Little Bill” created by the jello
puddin’ pop lovin’ Mr. Cosby.
Mike has also done storyboard work for television commercials and
design work for The Gap.
Mike is currently quite happy at Toy-biz. For the past 3 years he’s
designed toys for major motion pictures like the “Lord of
the Rings Trilogy”, “X-2”, “Spider-man and
Spider-Man 2” and the upcoming “Fantastic Four”
feature film. He’s also designed lines for Toy-biz’s
incredibly popular super-hero figure series “Marvel Legends”
and “Spider-man Classics”.
Future projects include the strip series “Robot and Alien”
and the black comedy comic book “Nuclear Walken”. His
hope is that the masses will find these comedic gems and provide
Mooch with the means to purchase that Flamethrower and Jet-pack
combo he’s been dreamin’ of since he was a wee tyke.
